Class Descriptions

 

Please come to class with an empty stomach, a mat and a small towel for sweat. You may bring water; we recommend drinking water before and after, but not during class. Yoga mats, books, dvds and other items are available to purchase at the studio.

 

Open Practice: The Yoga Room is available from 5 AM -10 AM weekdass (til 8 AM on Saturdays and til 9 AM on Sundays) and 4-6:30 PM on Thurs/Fri for Open Practice. There is no teacher present and no instruction is available so this time is best suited to experienced practitioners; however, all are welcome to practice. Please talk to Pamela or Elizabeth prior to attending as the studio is locked during this time and you will need instructions about using the space.

 

All the drop-in classes described below follow the traditional ashtanga vinyasa yoga series as we were taught and as we practice. All levels welcome at any class.

 

Primary Series: Traditional series develops strength, flexibility and balance and rehabilitates injury. Focus on full deep breath and flow. From the warm-up of the standing postures, through the forward bends and on to inversions, the full practice is a moving meditation for a lifetime. All levels welcome.

 

Intro to Second Series: Explore back-bending and twists in this sequence designed to revitalize the nervous system. All levels are welcome.

 

Private Lessons

 

Private sessions allow students to work one-on-one with teachers to explore specific areas of interest such as alignment in asanas, breath work, adjusting to injuries, and the fundamentals of Ashtanga.

 

Whether you are a beginner, or an advanced student, a private session could work for you. We tailor them to fit the needs of each student.

 

Prices:

• Basic one hour: $60

• One hour 15 minutes: $75

• One hour 30 minutes: $90

• Five Privates (one hour sessions with same teacher): $275
